Start your journey with a visit to Nilda Callañaupa’s National Geographic-sponsored native weaving project.. Head to Maras to meet Mrs. Grandonia and Mrs. Álvarez, the renowned hatters of town; they run a beautiful crafts shop that produces top hats. They want to share their art with you, as well as the secrets of this ancient Andean activity! Finally, make it to world-renowned Machu Picchu, now recognized as a member of the new 7 Wonders of the World. Enjoy a private tour of “The Lost City of the Incas”, discovered by American explorer Hiram Bingham in 1911. During your vacation, you will be able to enjoy some incredible boutique hotels in the most amazing locations.

Day 1: Lima

Meals included: None
Transfer from the airport to the hotel.
Accommodation: Lima, the city of the Kings (Barranco or Miraflores districts).

Day 2: Lima

Meals included: Breakfast and lunch
Enjoy a tasting menu lunch at Amoramar Restaurant
Enjoy a visit around the bohemian district of Barranco, the most colorful and artistic neighborhood of Lima
Head to the Mario Testino Museum, the famous Peruvian photographer and indulge in a nice cup of delicious coffee at Café Bisetti
Accommodation: Lima, the city of the Kings (Barranco or Miraflores districts).

Day 3: Lima – Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Incas

Meals included: Breakfast and lunch
Visit Nilda Callañaupa’s National Geographic-sponsored native weaving proyect.
Delight with a delicious lunch at Sarapampa Ranch and enjoy a demonstration of Peruvian Paso Horse and Marinera Show. On the afternoon visit Pablo and Marilu Seminario – pottery studio.
Accommodation: Urubamba, the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Day 4: Sacred Valley of the Incas – Machu Picchu

Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Visit Maras, salt mine complex. Stop at the town of Maras and meet Mrs. Grandonia and Mrs. Álvarez, the renowned hatters. Take a short drive to Moray’s archaeological vestiges.
After lunch, drive to Ollantaytambo station where you will board the Vistadome train for an approximate 1 hour and 30 minute journey to Aguas Calientes Station (Machu Picchu town).
Accommodation: Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu town.

Important: Salt mines of Maras does not operate during rainy season (Late November – Late April).

Day 5: Machu Picchu – Cusco

Meals included: Breakfast and lunch
Visit Machu Picchu, “The Lost City of the Incas”, now recognized as a member of the new 7 Wonders of the World. Proceed on a guided tour of the fabled ruins. Enjoy lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge’s restaurant.
Board the Vistadome train back to Ollantaytambo Station in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On arrival, you are transferred by road to Cusco city.
Accommodation: Cusco, the Capital of the Inca Empire.

Day 6: Cusco

Meals included: Breakfast and dinner
Start your tour at Sacsayhuaman, one of the most emblematic constructions of the Incas and a World Cultural Heritage Site listed by UNESCO. Stop at Cristo Blanco statue to overview the amazing scenery of the Inca Capital.
Continue to the cathedral, the most impressive monument in the Plaza de Armas. The tour ends at the Coricancha also known as “The Temple of the Sun
Accommodation: Cusco, the Capital of the Inca Empire.

Day 7: Cusco – Lima

Meals included: Breakfast
Transfer to the airport for your morning flight to Lima to make your international connection.
